Before Using the Detox Foot Spa.
*Make sure you are well hydrated before using the Detox Foot Spa and drink 600ml of water during your session.(Common reactions from a detoxification session may include: light headedness, nauseus, headache, thirst or loose bowel movements. It is therefore important to keep drinking water after your session.)
*Remove any metal you may be wearing.
*Avoid using cordless and mobile phones or a computer whilst using the Detox Foot Spa.
*If you have low blood sugar levels it is recommended you eat beforehand.
*If you are on medication, take it after using your Detox Foot Spa, or four hours prior.
*Have a bowl of warm water and a towel beside you to rinse and dry your feet  after the session.

The Foot Spa Session. (Models DFS01PB (Designer), DFS02MM (Premier), DFS03MO (Deluxe).)
1. Half fill the Detox Foot spa with warm water.
2. Insert the power cord, array and wrist band (DFS02MM needs no wrist band) into the corresponding jacks in the main console.
3. Place the array in the water and the wrist band either against the wrist or palm of the hand.
4. Place feet in the water and press the power button "ON".
5. Select mode 3 for the DFS02MM & DFS03MO and mode 1 for DFS01PB. The time will automatically be set at 30 minutes but can be changed by using the up and down buttons if necessary.
6. Press the "START" button to begin.
7. Check the Work electricity (Ampere), this will fluctuate. If reading below 1.2A add a little Himalayan salt. (Add about 0.1g, don't add too much or the Detox Foot Spa will stop automatically. If this occurs, add or replace the water to reduce the salt concentration.)
8. If you wish to use the TENS, attach the TENS leads (DFS01PB does not have TENS) to the console, apply gel evenly to the pads,place the TENS pads on the area for treatment and press "START" on the TENS controller. Increase the TENS intensity slowly to ensure a comfortable state.


The Changing Colour.
It is important to understand that the water will change its colour even without feet in the water. The colour change is a reaction between the water, salt and metal. When the water is energised it ejects tiny particles, which become visually observable in the water and tend to make it look dirty and brown. The degree of detoxification is reflected in symptomatic improvement, not water colour change. The water colour change is not an indicator of whether energy is being produced.Colour changes can be dramatic but it is not the most important factor and you must be careful about making any judgements based on colour. Most of what you see in the water is related to the water being used, not toxins being drawn from the body.Black flecks in the water are metal that come off: (a) the array; (b) the de-ionisation of heavy metals in the water itself; and (c) from the de-ionisation from the body.

How to Clean Your Detox Foot Spa.
Use our Detox Foot Spa Liners to eliminate the need for cleaning! Otherwise...Rinse out your Detox Foot Spa after use in warm water, taking care not to submerge the whole spa and electronic components.
We find Chux 'Magic Erasers'  an effective way to remove the stain left around the spa. Do not use chemical cleaners on your Detox Foot Spa.
Rinse the array thoroughly in water, taking care to keep the cable end dry. For best results, it is recommended that the array soaks in an ascorbic acid solution  every 5 -10 sessions to sanitize and remove any excess corrosion.
The array may need to be replaced after frequent use (between approximately 20 - 40 uses, this will depend on the water quality, cleaning of the array and if salt has been added to the water during use.)

Take Care of Your Detox Foot Spa.
1. Pay attention to personal safety. Never plug or pull power cord if your hand is wet.
2. Prevent damage. Avoid impacts or knocks of hard objects. Never scratch your Detox Foot Spa with a sharp object.
3. Gently wipe away any dust on the outside surface. Never use chemical agents.
4. Press keys gently to ensure proper use.
